1. ‘That Holiday Feeling’

Albert Lea Community Theatre is hosting the big-band holiday sound of Sinatra and Company’s “That Holiday Feeling” at 7 p.m. Friday. The performance will feature a 10-piece band, three vocalists and a range of holiday classics of polka, latin, gospel and pop genres in a show the organizer called the best show she has put together.

2. Christmas Memories Dinner Theater

For those looking to halt the wrapping marathon for dinner and a show, Wedgewood Cove’s Christmas Memories Dinner Theater event can offer both. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Performer Carrie Boyer said the performance is an original musical revue written by performer Dylan Kaercher. Other local and out-of-town actors are also featured.

“He brings a real talented crowd,” Boyer said of Kaercher’s fellow actors.

3. Visit Santa — last chance!

For those who have a few last-minute additions to their Christmas lists (puppies, little brothers, remote control cars, meat thermometers), Santa will be at Bomgaars from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday (pets are also welcome). He will also make an appearance at Northbridge Mall from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.

4. Festival of Trees

Friday is the last day to peruse trees decorated for the Festival of Trees at Northbridge Mall. This year’s 35 trees celebrate the theme “Joy to the World.” The Northbridge suite will be open from 1 to 7 p.m.

5. American Legion Christmas Party

Members and spouses are invited to a holiday party at the Albert Lea American Legion. Social hour starts at 4 p.m. and the evening will move through a steak dinner, dessert and live music. For veterans, the meal is free.
