Albert Lea artist Susanne Crane is being featured in a solo exhibition in the Charles H. MacNider Art Museum’s Center Space Gallery in Mason City. “Susanne Crane: There And Back Again” opened Friday and will be on display through Saturday, Feb 10.

The artwork featured in “There And Back Again” highlight the natural landscape and give the viewer a glimpse into the symbolic world.

“This selection of paintings represents some of my favorite and intensely spiritual journeys to what are healing places for me,” Crane said in a press release. “I hope to imbue my canvases with that kind of energy.

“If anyone visiting this exhibition feels uplifted or even a bit happily relaxed after seeing my work, I will consider this effort a success. My goal is to get them out there into the world so they can have a new life of their own, possibly helping others to heal or at least warming up the winters a bit.”

The Charles H. MacNider Art Museum is free and open to the public.
