Barn destroyed
A small barn was reported destroyed Sunday night at 56270 210th St., north of Wells. No animals or livestock were reportedly in the barn at the time of the fire. Wells fire crews were at the scene for about two hours, and Minnesota Lake assisted by providing water at the scene. No injuries were reported.
1 arrested on warrant
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Davion Lashay Smith, 22, on a Department of Corrections warrant after a report of assisting another department was made at 11:37 a.m. Monday at 408 S. Broadway.
Items damaged, stolen
A mailbox was reported blown up at 7:36 p.m. Monday at 20527 900th Ave., in eastern Freeborn County.
A side window on a garage was reported broken and access gained to a house at 2:57 p.m. Monday at 1206 Fountain St. No items were reported missing as of Monday afternoon.
Two thefts were reported at 4:25 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. Another theft report was filed at 5:09 p.m. Monday at the same store.
Child abuse/neglect reported
Child abuse/neglect reports were made at 2:37 p.m. and 2:38 p.m. Monday in Freeborn County.
A Department of Human Services report of a 7-month-old child with a brain bleed was reported at 10:54 a.m. Monday in Albert Lea.
A DHS report of an 11-year-old child driving a car was made at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday in Albert Lea.
