David Lang, 1956-2017

Memorial services for David A. Lang of Clarks Grove will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. The Rev. Tom Franklin will officiate. Military honors will be accorded. Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the funeral home.
David died on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea. He was 61.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1956, in Albert Lea, the son of Richard and Betty (Betow) Lang.
He attended Albert Lea schools and then served his country in the U.S. Army.
David had worked for Edwards Farms in Hollandale for several years and was most recently employed as a roofer.
David’s joy came from helping and spending time with family and friends. Game night with friends and holidays with family were the things he enjoyed most.
David is survived by his siblings, Sandra (Richard) Lestrud of Albert Lea, Walter (Kimberly) Lang of Farmington, Bruce Lang of Albert Lea, Ronald Lang of Northwood, Terry Lang of Owatonna and Barbara Bothum of St. Cloud; nieces and nephews Kathleen Talamantes of
Northwood, Brenda Wyant of Glenville, Richard Lang and Amanda Lang of Farmington, Bruce Lang Jr. of Chicago, Brandy Hughes of Albert Lea, Simon Lang of Owatonna, Bethany Benning of St. Cloud, Jessica (Russell) Klienschmidt of Staples and Robert Bothum of St. Cloud; and many great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Michael Anderson; niece, Tamara Praska; and great-niece, Christa Moffitt.
David was quiet, never judged and accepted people for who they were. He never asked for much, never needed much and was very content with the simple things in life. He will be greatly missed.
