Rollover crash injures one in Freeborn County

Icy conditions are believed to have caused a rollover crash that injured an Altura man Tuesday on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County.

Enrique Fuenteslara, 25, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin with an injury deemed not life-threatening.

Fuenteslara was a passenger in a 2004 Dodge pickup, driven by Luis David Aguilaraguilar, 19, of Arcadia, Wisconsin. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 2004 Dodge pickup was headed west on I-90 in Oakland Township when Aguilaraguilar lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the road, enter the right ditch and roll before 8 a.m.

Roads were slick at the time of the crash due to snow and ice, the report states.

Aguilaraguilar was not injured in the crash.

Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the report states.

Hayward fire crews assisted on scene.
