Jack Henry Edwin, 17, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System, where he was treated and released for precautionary reasons.
Edwin was driving a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS east on West Main Street when a possible medical situation reportedly caused him to cross over the west lanes of the road and crash into metal fencing at the park, according to Albert Lea police.
The incident was reported to law enforcement at 9:31 p.m. Sunday at 222 St. Mary Ave.
The car Edwin was driving was damaged but drivable after the crash, police stated.
