The first dual for the Vikings had nearly everything going their way. Excluding their open weight classes, the Vikings only lost one match to Westwood. Their 45-33 victory over the Rebels included six pinfall victories, with the pins coming from Jeff Yezek, Samuel Kliment, Brandon Varner, Logan Benjegerdes, Gideon Rollene and Gavin Varner.

The second dual saw more of the same from Northwood-Kensett. The team was able to beat Garner -Hayfield-Ventura, 45-24. They were only able to grab two pinfalls from Kliment and Rollene. However, they were still able to pull past the Cardinals for the victory.

The Vikings’ open spots in the lineup would eventually catch up to them in the final two duals. They would fall to Clear Lake, 12-69, and then to Austin, 17-66.

The top performers for the Vikings were Yezek, Benjegerdes, Rollene and Gavin Varner, each finishing with a 3-1 record on the day.

Northwood-Kensett will be back in action on Thursday when it travels to Nashua-Plainfield.
