1. Tonic Sol-fa

The Minnesota-based a cappella group is back for its third year in a row at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. The group has explored further percussive instrumentation together and will perform a split of original and cover songs.

Tonic Sol-fa’s tenor Greg Bannwarth said this year’s show will include innovative music and staging.

2. 3-D archery tournament

The Full Draw Archery Club will host a 3-D archery tournament both Saturday and Sunday in the upstairs of the Knutson Building on Newton Avenue. The tournament involves shooting animals at unmarked distances, a moving rail, pop-up targets and now includes moving fish. Participants

can come from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

3. Ice skating

Colder temperatures mean the ice is not in jeopardy of going away this weekend. Warming houses and rinks are open from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Academy, Hayek, Hawthorne and Lakeview parks.

4. Help fight cancer

The Eagles Club will host its 17th annual fight cancer day on Saturday. The drive-by can collection begins at 8 a.m., followed by a pool and cribbage tournament at 10 a.m. The day will also include an 11 a.m. bake sale, a silent auction at noon and a 4 p.m. live auction.

5. Ruby’s Pantry

In exchange for a $20 cash donation, Ruby’s Pantry supplies two basketfuls of food to help make ends meet for those with a tight food budget. Saturday’s pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Assemblies of God Church. Participants are asked to bring their own baskets.
