The Knights wasted little time getting on the board in the opening half when freshman Abbie Theusch scored on the team’s opening possession with a basket in the paint.

However, the Clippers would find their stride first and jump out to an early seven-point lead.

The Knights would battle back with around five minutes left to go in the half. They went on a 17-5 run to take a three-point lead into halftime. The charge was led mainly by Theusch and junior Erika Bute, who combined for 27 points in the first half.

After the break, the Knights expanded on their lead to go up by as many as eight points in the opening minutes. The Clippers would form a bit of a comeback taking the lead with under four minutes remaining. However, the Knights would hold strong and extend their hot streak to three games.

Alden-Conger was led in scoring by Bute with 37 points. She was followed by Theusch with 21 points and sophomore Mikenna Erickson with 10.

The Knights climb to 4-9 on the season and will play again when they travel to face the Jaguars of GHEC/M/TL on Thursday.
