An attic fire was reported at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at 619 Hope Lane. More information was not available at press time.

Thefts, damage reported

Albert Lea police arrested Deonta Gregory Shanklin, 20, for theft, providing a false name, fleeing on foot and obstructing the legal process after a theft in progress was reported at 12:41 a.m. Saturday at Love’s Travel Stop, 2751 E. Main St. At the scene, police cited Jammie Tyshawn Franklin, 20, for possessing a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle and apprehended De Vionte Shaheed Larkin, 21, for providing a false name and theft.

A theft report was filed at 5:14 p.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Avenue. The incident occurred at about 2:15 p.m.

A television and other items were reported stolen from a hotel room at 10:01 a.m. Monday at Country Inn & Suites, 2214 E. Main St.
