A benefit for Russ Goette will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ellendale Community Building. According to a press release there will be music, a silent auction and bake sale. Sloppy joes, hot dogs, beans and potato salad will be served.

Proceeds from the benefit will help defray medical expenses for Goette and help with living expenses. Goette had a recent back surgery and due to the nature of the surgery, he will not be able to go back to his previous job.
