Julene Bauleke, 1940-2018

Julene “Jo” Kaye Bauleke, 77, of Owatonna died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, peacefully at her home following a long-term illness.
Julene “Jo” was born June 5, 1940, in Albert Lea, the daughter of John A. and Viola A. (Powers) Johnson. She attended public school in Albert Lea and was united in marriage to James R. Bauleke.
Julene (Jo) worked as assistant manager at Pamida and secretary of maintenance at Truth Hardware, both in Owatonna. She loved antiquing, gardening, reading and birdwatching.
Julene (Jo) is survived by her husband, James R. Bauleke; children Renae Medina of Grants Pass, Oregon, Lori (Merlyn) Meyers of Spring Valley and John (Julie) Schewe of Chaska; LeAnn (Paul) Kujath of Owatonna, Darryl Vanlandingham of Wisconsin, Jimmy Bauleke of Waseca, Jerry (Kathy) Bauleke of Waseca; Lisa (Chris) Harris of Janesville; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Viola; brothers, Orville, Delvin, Warren, Rodger, Norman and Dale Johnson; and sisters Ione Aske, Marvyl Hanson and Wanda Packer and son-in-law, Corey Medina.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna.
