Albert Lea is under a winter weather advisory until 3 p.m. today as heavy snowfall is expected along the Minnesota and Iowa border.

Snowfall amounts will range from 2 to 4 inches along the border, according to the National Weather Service.

Motorists should plan for slippery road conditions and reduced visibilities. Roads were listed as partially covered before noon.
