Area students accepted for admission to Luther College

Scot Schaeffer, Luther College vice president for enrollment management, has announced that Joshua Martinez of Albert Lea and Kaylee Parks of Kensett have been accepted for admission for the 2018-19 academic year.

Parks was also awarded the Martin Luther Award.

A national liberal arts college with an enrollment of 2,050, Luther offers an academic curriculum that leads to the Bachelor of Arts degree in more than 60 majors and pre-professional programs.

NDSU releases dean’s list

North Dakota State University has released its dean’s list.

Among those honored were Taylor Willis of Albert Lea.

A student must earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify for the dean’s list.

Lake Mills students included on dean’s list

Amelia Evenson and Tanner Jensen, both of Lake Mills, have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Buena Vista University.

Students named to the dean’s list must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the semester, based on a 4.0 grade point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.

Wartburg College names A.L. student to dean’s list

Haley Harms of Albert Lea was named to the Wartburg College fall term dean’s list.

The list honors students who earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above in at least four course credits during the term. Three of the four course credits have to be graded with a traditional letter grade.

MSU – Moohead announces dean’s list

Area students have been named to the Minnesota State University Moorhead dean’s list in recognition of academic achievement fall semester 2017. Students must be in degree-seeking status and maintain a 3.25 or higher grade point average while completing a minimum of 12 graded credits to qualify for the honor.

Those students listed on the dean’s list were Dana Marly of Albert Lea, Michael Osmundson of Glenville and Luke Sundblad of Albert Lea.

MSU Moorhead, with an enrollment of approximately 6,000 students, is a comprehensive university offering 151 majors, emphases and options, 11 pre-professional studies programs and 15 graduate programs. 

Augustana dean’s list released

Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, recently announced the students named to the dean’s list for the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.

Among those honored were Anna Anderson of Albert Lea, Emma Behling of Albert Lea, Camryn Keyeski of Albert Lea, Carol Lein of Albert Lea, Megan Lindely of Albert Lea and Brooke Reyerson of Hartland.

Area students named to dean’s list

Kimberly Block of Glenville, Sydney Dahl of Emmons and Krystle Nelson of Hartland were recently recognized on the College of St. Scholastica dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester.

Dean’s list members have achieved a 3.75 grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale.
