Area students listed on honor roll at college
Anna Boettcher of Albert Lea and Emma Iverson of Hayward were named to the Bethany Lutheran College dean’s list for the fall 2017-18 semester.
Boettcher, the daughter of Todd and Cassie Boettcher, is a 2017 graduate of Albert Lea High School.
Iverson, the daughter of Chad and Jayne Iverson, is a 2016 graduate of Albert Lea High School.
To be named to the dean’s list, a student must carry at least 14 academic credits and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average.
U of Iowa release dean’s list
Four area students were named to the University of Iowa’s fall 2017 dean’s list. Katie Garnas of Kensett, Michael Jones of Lake Mills, Zoe Heimendinger of Scarville, Iowa, and Emily of Wangen were all honored on the list.
Local student earns degree
Lindy Pines, a native of Lake Mills, received a doctor of physical therapy at the University of Iowa at the close of the fall 2017 semester.
U of M – Crookston releases dean’s list
Students named to the fall semester 2017 dean’s list were recently announced by the Office of the registrar at the University of Minnesota Crookston.
Students on the dean’s list include Ben Schlaak of Hollandale, a health management major, and Emmitt Stevens of Albert Lea, an accounting and health management major.
To qualify for a place on the dean’s list, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average.
Hartland student named to chancellor’s list
Sarah Riecke of Hartland has been named to the chancellor’s list in recognition of earning a fall 2017 semester grade point average of 3.8 or higher of a possible 4.0.
Alden student recognized
Jessica Price of Alden has been named to the dean’s list/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
Price, a senior nutrition and health sciences major, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Education and Human Sciences.
Area students named to Concordia College dean’s list
Tyler Ege of Albert Lea, Lange Solveig of Albert Lea, Claire Bias of Alden and James Dundas of Wells were named to Concordia College’s dean’s list for the fall 2017-18 semester.
To qualify for this designation, students must carry a minimum of 12 semester credits and have a grade point average of at least a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale.
A.L. students listed on dean’s list
Sydney Rehnelt, senior, and Emma Tewes, junior, both of Albert Lea, have been named to Luther College’s 2017 fall semester dean’s list.
Luther College’s fall 2017 dean’s list includes 737 students; 142 first-years, 142 sophomores, 184 juniors and 269 seniors. To be named to the dean’s list, a student must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and must complete at least 12 credit hours with 10 hours of conventional grades.
Area students recognized
The Iowa State University College of Human Science’s dean’s list honors students who have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the fall semester of 2017.
Students who made the list in the spring of 2017 include Maryah Dulaney-Hernandez of Albert Lea,who is majoring in child, adult and family studies; Sydney Larson of Lake Mills, who is majoring in family and consumer sciences education and studies; Haley Schroader of Albert Lea, who is majoring in child, adult, and family studies; and Camille Tewes of Albert Lea, who is majoring in elementary education.
