Lynn Anderson, 1940-2018

Lynn Sherwood Anderson, 77, of Mantorville passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at Minneapolis Veterans Home.
Lynn was born Oct. 5, 1940, in Albert Lea to Victor and Irene (Zabel) Anderson. Lynn entered the United States Navy in October 1957 and proudly served his country until 1971.
He married Delores Purdue in Rochester and they later divorced. Lynn married Judy Galbraith on May 14, 1988. After leaving the Navy, Lynn returned to Kasson to run Kasson Concrete Products for his father until 2002. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Rochester and the Byron American Legion. Lynn loved woodworking, working with steel, reading and his dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Mantorville; children Deb (Charles) Gearhart of Rochester, Melanie (Bard) Stadsvold of Rochester and Michael Anderson of Glendale, Arizona; stepchildren Tamela Kuehn Mosca of Clayton, California, Chad Kuehn of Austin and Brad Kuehn of Rochester; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marlene Overgaard, of Albert Lea.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Irene; and by his sister, Barbara Baker.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW in Rochester. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. To share a special memory or condolence, visit www.ranfranzandvinefh.com.
