Northwood-Kensett Community School District and Lake Mills Community School District will start classes two hours late on Friday.

As of 6:30 a.m., roads were listed as partially covered with snow in Albert Lea and much of the surrounding area. North of Ellendale on Interstate 35 and north of New Richland on Minnesota Highway 13, roads were listed as fully covered with snow.

In northern Iowa, roads were listed as partially covered with snow.
