Rita Rae Schulz was born Dec. 10, 1952, and died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at the age of 65.
Rita would like to let you know that her work here is done. She received a call at 1:22 p.m. Jan. 23, 2018. It was a sort of offer you can’t refuse, and she will not be returning. This new role grants her a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place, where she will be socializing, shopping, gardening, sewing, doing crafts and basking in the sun to her heart’s content with no pain. It allows you to win the lottery every day and to shop away. Laughter, good old-fashioned banter and love are guaranteed. The food is delicious and you never gain an ounce.
She left instructions for her children Mindie (Craig) Fischer, Terry Schulz and Brandon Schulz; and granddaughters Jaden Fischer, Jordan Fischer and Zoie Schulz to celebrate her life and be happy and never forget that “strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle” — Napoleon Hill.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents Nathaniel and Opal (Weed-man) Schulz; brothers Earl and Dan Schulz; nephew, Doyle Langfald; great-niece, McKenzie; and great-great-nephews Jack and Oliver Williamson.
Rita is survived by her children; granddaughters; sisters Darlene Moller and Cindy Schulz; along with many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She had a huge heart, touched many lives, made a difference and will be missed.
Family and friends are asked to join in celebrating her life. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family arrangements. A life celebration will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cremation Society of Minnesota at 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN 55444 with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. Following the service, join the family at Osseo/Maple Grove American Legion at 260 Fourth Ave. SE, Osseo, MN 55369 for a continued life celebration.
