A winter weather advisory is in effect for Albert Lea starting Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, 3 to 5 inches of snow are expected, and minor ice accumulation is possible.

The weather advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

People should be prepared for slippery road conditions, and possible reduced visibilities at ties.
