Former Albert Lea city attorney finds new job

Lee Bjorndal, who recently retired from his position as Albert Lea city attorney, has a new job. Bjorndal will rejoin the law firm of Baudler, Maus, Forman & King of Austin, where he worked from 1992 to 2008.

According to a press release, Bjorndal has more than 26 years of legal experience. Early in his career he worked in litigation for the Baudler firm. As Albert Lea city attorney he was involved in a wide variety of matters, including land use, development, zoning and criminal law.

Firm partner Tom Baudler said the firm is pleased to welcome Bjorndal back.

“Lee contributes broad and deep experience to the firm,” he said. “We are confident Lee will provide insight and problem solving skills to clients in a wide variety of areas. Besides that, Lee is just fun to have around, as anyone who knows him can verify.”

“I am very happy to be rejoining the firm,” Bjorndal said. “I look forward to working again for our clients in Austin, Albert Lea and Spring Valley and surrounding areas.”

The Spring Valley City Council appointed Bjorndal as city attorney for city civil work for this year.
