4 to 8 inches expected Sunday

Albert Lea and Freeborn County can’t seem to catch a break this spring as another round of winter weather is expected to move into the area this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, snow is expected on Sunday, mainly after 2 p.m.

The weather agency said snow could be heavy at times, and winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

New daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is possible.

Snow is expected to continue Sunday night, with additional new accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. It is expected to taper off late Sunday night.

Heaviest snow is expected to fall from west central into south central Minnesota.
