2 arrested for drug possession

Albert Lea police arrested Timothy Ray Iverson, 55, for meth possession after a suspicious person was reported at 3:34 a.m. Monday at 310 E. Eighth St.

Police arrested Cassandra Pieper for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree drug possession after drug violations were reported at 9:10 p.m. Monday at 1305 Poplar Ave.

4 arrested, cited for violations

Deputies arrested Chance Michael Callahan, 29, for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct at 2:05 a.m. Saturday at Harmony Park, 79503 298th St. outside Clarks Grove.

Police arrested Ray Gene Lara, 46, for second-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree controlled substance possession, no proof of insurance and having no Minnesota driver’s license during a traffic stop at 11:27 p.m. Saturday at 313 W. Main St.

Police cited a juvenile for underage drinking and driving and driving without a driver’s license after a report of a drunk driver was made at 8:23 p.m. Monday at 906 W. Front St.

Police cited Dominic Michael Modderman, 18, for possessing a small amount of marijuana, possessing alcohol and possessing drug paraphernalia after a suspicious person or vehicle was reported at 12:07 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Belmont Street and South First Avenue. Modderman was cited and released.

 

Stabbing reported

A report of a female stabbing another female in the arm while in a bathroom at 1:13 p.m. Monday at Trail’s Travel Center, 820 Happy Trails Lane. Though the victim reportedly did not want an ambulance, medical crews were sent.

 

Burglaries, thefts reported

Someone reported a break-in to a residence at 7:33 a.m. Friday at 604 Giles Place. The suspect allegedly stole an iPad.

St. Theodore Church was reported broken into at 8:06 a.m. Friday. The incident allegedly occurred after 5 p.m. Thursday. Damage was reported.

A $20 counterfeit bill was reported at 11:51 a.m. Friday at Farmers State Bank, 1452 W. Main St.

A cellphone was reported stolen at 1:38 p.m. Friday at 308 Water St.

An investigation into a theft was reported at 2:42 p.m. Friday at Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave.

A red Toro Titan lawn mower with a suspension seat valued at $7,200 was reported stolen at 3:03 p.m. Friday at 2317 Consul St.

A truck was reported broken into and a sound system stolen at 5:26 p.m. Saturday at 2019 E. Main St.

Credit card fraud was reported at 5:32 p.m. Saturday at 2400 Consul St.

Identity theft was reported at 6:39 p.m. Saturday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

A Samsung Galaxy cellphone was reported stolen from a residence at 3:44 p.m. Sunday at 821 Water St.

A theft of two air conditioning units each valued at $199 was reported at 7:36 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

Sex crime with child victim reported

A Department of Human Services report of a sex crime with a child victim was made at 8:07 a.m. Friday in Freeborn County.

 

4 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Gilberto Sanchez Jr., 44, on three local warrants at 10:59 p.m. Friday at 917 S. Broadway Ave.

Police arrested Daniel Dean Eggers, 33, on a local warrant at 10:12 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Front Street on South Newton Avenue.

Deputies arrested Kweh Nee, 39, on a local warrant at 10:58 p.m. Saturday at 330 Hillcrest Circle in Clarks Grove.

Deputies arrested Justin Daniel Stuart, 21, on a local warrant at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.
