At the beginning of the school year, Albert Lea school district administrators drew from a group of people who donated to the United Way of Freeborn County in the district. The winner got the day off, and the person’s substitute was Superintendent Mike Funk. Funk taught fourth-grade teacher Ryan Wangen’s classroom this past week at Halverson Elementary School. -Provided
