Alcohol was a possible factor in a single-vehicle crash Saturday that injured a Northfield man in the Glenville area.

Douglas Michael Tschann, 67, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with a head injury, back pain and injuries to both forearms.

According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Tschann was driving a 2010 Chevy Equinox when it went into the ditch near a stop sign.

The crash was reported at 1:46 p.m. Saturday at 12665 750th Ave.

As of Tuesday, the crash was under investigation.
