Audrene Light, 1937-2018

Audrene Lucille (Seuser) Light, 80, of Breckenridge passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018, at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge.

Audrene was born June 7, 1937, in Albert Lea to George and Arvella Seuser. She grew up and attended school there, graduating in 1955 from Albert Lea High School.

In 1958, she was united in marriage to Dale Light. They spent many years together and upon their retirement they moved to Stanley, Idaho, where they lived up in the Sawtooth Mountains where they worked for the chamber of commerce at a visitors center. During the winters they helped with other RV jobs in Florence, Oregon; Sequim, Washington; and Brookings, Oregon. After this, they moved to St. John’s, Washington, where they hosted a golf course until Dale’s health began to fail, at which point they moved back to Campbell.

Audrene loved bowling and was fortunate to attend 17 national bowling tournaments. Most dear to her heart was the time spent on their motorcycle and traveling to see all of the lower 48 states and the provinces of Canada.

Audrene (Dee) is survived by her children Terry (Pam) Nelson, Randy (Karen) Nelson, Mike (Laurel) Light and Nancy (Brock Anderson and his son, Chance) Holweger; her grandchildren Julie Nelson, Jamie (Kayla) Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Aubree (Ryan) Herrick, Ethan Light, Samantha (Eric) Stroll, Dane (Stephanie) Holweger and Tanner (Malibu) Holweger; her great-grandchildren Bryce Nelson, Braxton Nelson, Journey Nelson, Charlette Herrick, Parker Holweger, Jaxon Holweger, Ryden Holweger and Mercadez Holweger; her sisters-in- law JoAnn Seuser and Patty (Roger) Bekeart of Albert Lea; and her brother-in-law, John (Ginny) Light, of Albert Lea.

Audrene was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Light; her parents George and Arvella Seuser; her brother, Gene Seuser;  and her in-laws Ethan (Mary Jane) Light, Don Vandergrift, Douglas Vandergrift, Howard Vandergrift, Donald H. Nelson, Donna Light, Harriette Vandergrift and Virginnia Nelson.
