Margaret was a very active member of Albert Lea Assembly of God Church with the women’s ministries and Ruby’s Pantry. She loved serving and her church family held a special place in her heart.

Margie enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking, her Land  O’Lakes card club and coffee dates with the girls, and loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She was also a fierce competitor — whether it be cards, bags or Wii bowling — and often took home the trophy at family holiday gatherings.

Marge had a double lung transplant 18 years ago and her family praises God for this extra time they’ve had with her. She had a zest for life and a love for everyone. Marge got her healing in heaven and is now running marathons with her new lungs.

She is survived by her children Jamie (Jake) Johnston of Prior Lake, Jordan (Krista) Doyle of Albert Lea and Taylor Doyle (Julio) of Albert Lea; and grandchildren Jack and Leo Johnston and Preslie and Ava Doyle. Other survivors include sisters Kathleen Mielke of Eagle Lake and Connie Parry of Albert Lea; brothers James (Faye) Parry of Tucson, Arizona, and Terry Parry of Owatonna; sister-in-law, Brenda Parry, of Albert Lea; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Patricia O’Hara and Jeanette (Ronald) Parker; and brothers Thomas Parry and Bob Parry.
