Albert Lea woman injured in Blue Earth crash

An Albert Lea woman was injured Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 14 in Blue Earth County.

Yuseina Brito Lino, 20, was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato with at least one injury deemed not life-threatening.

A 2012 Chevy Traverse driven by Steven Jeffery Weber, 60, of Eagle Lake was heading north on 598th Street at the intersection with Highway 14 at a stop sign, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The Traverse reportedly attempted to cross the highway when it was struck by a 2013 Buick Verano heading east on Highway 14, driven by Rachel Maria Angrimson, 20, of Apple Valley at about 3:20 p.m. on the inside lane of Highway 14, according to the report.

Brito Lino was a passenger in the Verano.

Weber, Agrimson and Maikongpheng Yang, 23, of St. Paul were also taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato by Gold Cross Ambulance with injuries deemed not life-threatening. Chandler Lawrence Gooding, 23, of Waconia, a passenger in the Verano, was not injured in the crash.

Eagle Lake police, Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Lake fire crews, Rivers Edge emergency medical services and Minnesota Department of Transportation assisted on scene.
