On June 20, 1964, she was united in marriage to Larry Wessels in Lake Mills. To this union, the couple was blessed with three children: Kristin, Chadwick and Petra. The couple would raise their family in Albert Lea.

Linda’s life revolved around being with children. She babysat for numerous families over the years. Most recently, she was a self-proclaimed lunch lady at Halverson Elementary School. She was involved in the Schools Out Program through the local YMCA. She was also a Girl Scouts and Brownies leader for many years. She loved being around children, but she was most happy when she was with her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Linda enjoyed playing solitaire and doing crossword puzzles. She could always find the best deal, whether that be at a local garage sale or her favorite store: Herbergers. Linda would hardly ever miss her grandchildren’s events, and loved time spent with her family on trips up to Duluth. The family will miss all of the Snapchats she would send to everyone at all hours of the day or night!

She is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Goldie; mother and father in-law Lee (Mae) Wessels; sister, Marvel (Harold) Olson; and sisters-in-law Betty (Milford) Michaelson, Carmen (Gene) Monsen and Marilyn Wessels.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Wessels; children Kristin (Bob) Baseman, Chadwick Wessels and Petra (Kevin) Uthke; grandchildren Jimmy, Tyler and Emily Baseman, and Coltan, Katelyn and Landon Uthke; great-grandchild, Abigail Baseman; brother and sisters-in-law Duane Wessels, Dorie (Roger) Hanna, Roger (Beverly) Wessels and Cheryl (Paul) Beenken; as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
