Mary Mueller, 1953-2018

Mary Elizabeth Mueller, 64, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, formerly of Clarks Grove, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

Mary was born on Aug. 20, 1953, in Rochester, to Dr. Bernard and Elizabeth (Blute) L’Esperance. She attended school in Two Harbors and graduated with the class of 1971.

On Aug. 17, 1974, Mary married Franklin Mueller at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Two Harbors, and together raised seven children. She worked for several years as a para educator for the Albert Lee School District No. 241.

Mary was very involved with church activities as a Sunday school and confirmation teacher. She loved bike riding, camping, picnics with kids and grandchildren and spending time with all of her family.

Mary is survived her husband, Frank; seven children, Lisa (Kyle) Chistensen, Matthew (Donelle Hauser) Mueller, Elizabeth (Dennis) Abts, Amy (Kyle) Nordland, Nicholas (Rachel) Mueller, Monica (Cole) Coyle and Luke (Heather) Mueller; 16 grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1812 Lynn Ave. in Altoona, Wisconsin. The Rev. Derek Sakowski will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. Eau Claire, with a rosary vigil starting at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the Mass on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
