Patrick Wayne Nutt died Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City of cancer. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in Northwood. Burial will take place at a later time.

Patrick was born during a snowstorm in rural Northwood on March 11, 1965, to James “Frank” Nutt and Bertha Nutt. He attended Northwood-Kensett schools. He later attended Minneapolis Community and Technical College. He was employed by Pearson in Minneapolis for many years before being transferred to Melbourne, Florida. He spent his last year in Iowa, but much preferred the Florida climate and planned to move back so he didn’t have to spend another winter in Iowa.

He enjoyed classic cars and classic TV. He also greatly enjoyed his pets: Rocky the parrot and Stella the cockatoo.

During his time in Iowa, he made some very close friends in Northwood. He also had dear old friends in the Minneapolis area.

Preceding him in death were his father, James; and his stepmother, Carrie.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Nutt; two aunts and many cousins and friends.
