As a community newspaper, the Tribune values feedback and submissions from the readers we serve.

If you’ve had an important life event, we want to hear about it.

Catch a huge fish and want to showcase it in the community? We’ll be happy to let everybody know about it.

Did your service club award several scholarships or give a donation to a worthy cause? We would love to recognize this and other noteworthy things happening in the community.

These kinds of submissions are what sets our newspaper apart from ones you would find in metropolitan areas, and for that we are proud.

We know these submissions are important to you, and we hope to see more of them in our publication in the future.

These are only a few of the submissions we accept:

• Weddings and engagements

• Birth announcements

• Reports from clubs and auxiliaries

• Highlights on new staff members at businesses

• Recognition or awards received for individuals or businesses

• Photos from recitals and performances

• Photos and results from youth sports games

• Donations to or from local organizations

• Big fish caught on area lakes

All of these submissions are published free of charge, and we strive to get them into the newspaper within 10 days of receipt.

Photos and news tips can be turned in online through our website at albertleatribune.com, by emailing lifestyles@albertleatribune.com or in person at our office. Please identify the people in the photo you submit and provide information about what is taking place.

These submissions not only give you a chance to showcase your life events or successes to the community, but they also help document the things happening in our community for future generations.

Albert Lea Magazine

We’re wrapping up our July/August issue of Albert Lea Magazine, and we have lots of fun things that will print in this issue that I’m excited for you to see.

We got to check out the beautiful home of Dean and Jessie Rasmusson, interview and photograph a group of Albert Lea Community Theatre actresses and highlight some of the hottest summer fashion.

As always, there’s lots to read, enjoy and check out for yourself.

We love putting together this magazine and hope you enjoy it, too.

This next issue should be out at the end of June.
