3 arrested after search of apartment finds drugs

Marijuana, meth, drug paraphernalia recovered

NORTHWOOD — Three people were arrested Sunday night after authorities found drugs during a search at a Northwood apartment, according to the Worth County Sheriff’s Office.

Justin Wayne Lee of Albert Lea was arrested on Worth, Winnebago, Cerro Gordo and Mitchell County warrants; Theresa Mae Book of Northwood was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia possession and controlled substance possession-second offense; and Jamey Wayne Anderson of Albert Lea was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia possession, controlled substance possession-second offense and controlled substance possession-marijuana second offense.

They were arrested after the Worth County Sheriff’s Office responded at about 8:18 p.m. Sunday to Villa Woods Apartments No. 9 for a report of a female operating an unlicensed motorcycle or scooter and nearly striking cars on the road, according to the release.

Investigators reportedly found Lee was inside the residence and had warrants.

According to the release, a search warrant of the apartment reportedly found brass knuckles, several items of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, scales, plastic baggies, hypodermic needles and approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine.
