Keith Grabau, 1988-2018

Funeral services for Keith A. Grabau will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville.

Keith passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Hennepin County Medical Center. He was only 29.

Keith was born Dec. 9, 1988, to his mother, Diane (Hauge), and father, Kent Grabau. Keith grew up in Glenville and attended Albert Lea High School. He enjoyed camping, watching the Minnesota Twins and playing with his dog, Punt. He also enjoyed spending time with his stepdad, Larry, and messing with the Mustang cars together. Keith spent a lot of time with his mother. He liked bringing her things and surprising her by taking her out to eat. He also had a love of spending time with Max.

Keith is survived by his mother, Diane Grabau, and Larry Hamberg of Glenville; father, Kent (Mary) Grabau, of Wilsall, Montana; aunt and uncle Larry (Pat) Hauge and their grandson, Dawson Van Ryswyk, of Glenville and Sue (Jay) Waalkens of Oakland; grandparents Merton (Irma) Grabau of Owatonna; a special friend, Liam; as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and stepbrother and stepsister.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Grabau; grandparents Jerome (Evelyn) Hauge; uncle Richard Hauge and Gene (Betty) Hamberg; along with several other family members. He also lost a very special dog and companion, Bear.

Keith will be sadly missed and loved by many people. He will be laid to rest near his uncle Richard.
