Delvan man killed in motorcycle crash

A Delavan man was killed Wednesday morning after a motorcycle crash in Faribault County.

James Arthur Hoppe, 45, was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle west on 170th Street in Faribault County when he lost control of the motorcycle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The motorcycle veered into the north ditch, and Hoppe was off of it before 3:30 a.m., east of 600th Avenue in Clark Township, according to the report.

Hoppe died before emergency personnel arrived.

The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office with the crash investigation.

Hoppe was not wearing a helmet, and it unknown whether alcohol was involved in the crash, according to the report.
