Wilbur Gjersvik died Thursday, July 12, 2018, in Eden Prairie. Services will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 4, 2018, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 16515 Luther Way in Eden Prairie. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Wilbur was born to William and Laura Gjersvik on Nov. 9, 1931, in Emmons. Will graduated from Freeborn High School and Austin Techn. He served two years in the Army and had his own carpentry business.

On Sept. 2, 1956, he married Carol Korman of Brush Creek.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; sons Paul (Terry) Gjersvik and Jeff (Becky) Gjersvik; grandchildren Laura (David) Rater, Daniel, Nicholas and Gina Gjersvik; great-grandson, Broc Rater; brothers and sisters Lorraine Dillavan, Floyd Berntsen, Frank (Pat) Gjersvik, Ken (Jan) Gjersvik, Darlene (Dennis) Albright, Lloyd (Cathy) Gjersvik; Carol’s sister, Marlene, and her husband, Bill; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Laura; in-laws Clifford and Edna Korman; sister Margaret Berntsen and brothers-in-law, Harold Bangert and Lee Dillavon.
