Annual Czech Festival planned at Brick Hall

The annual Czech Festival will take place on Sept. 8 and Sept. 9 at Brick Hall, three miles north of Myrtle on Freeborn County Road 30.
According to a press release, the grounds will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 8. Mollie B and the Jim Busta Band will perform from 1 to 5 p.m. There will also be a silent auction featuring Czech items, food and beverages, including kolaches, door prizes and children’s games and activities.
The Rev. James Krikava, head of Missouri Synod Lutheran Church missions in Europe and Asia, will lead a 10:30 a.m. church service. There will be a Czech meal available for purchase following the service and Mollie B and the band will perform from 1 to 3 p.m.
Two-day tickets good for both days. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free when attending with adults. Tickets are available at Cafourek Insurance in Albert Lea, Hunter’s Bar in Myrtle or Geneva Bar and Grill in Geneva. For more information, call 507-383-1340.
