Letter: Civic Music lineup is exciting

Civic Music is back! Who would have thought 75 years ago we would still have an opportunity to see live, world-class entertainment in Albert Lea by just buying a season ticket? The lineup this year is exciting! We begin the season with a group that recently made its television debut on “America’s Got Talent,” Sons of Serendip. Some of you may have seen them, but an opportunity to see an entire concert live is at your fingertips. We also have a classically trained baritone, Leon Williams. He shares his talents touring and on the Broadway stage. The Lysander Piano Trio will astound you with their precision and imagination at three pianos. Moving from piano to guitar is another trio of fine musicians from California. Closing the season is the internationally renowned Boston Brass, a lively and spirited romp guaranteed to entertain.
And if that isn’t enough to convince you to buy a season ticket, you can also attend five shows in Austin and four in Clear Lake. And that is just for the low cost of one season ticket.
Where else can you get all of that for $45?
Get your tickets now. They are on sale through the newspaper (ad appeared Aug. 5), at the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau and at all three Farmers State Bank locations. Don’t wait, and don’t miss this.
