Letter: Who would take a plant stand at the cemetery?

Published 8:15 pm Sunday, August 26, 2018

I have never written a letter to the editor, but have read many. However, after this weekend I feel compelled to do so. My husband and I went to Graceland Cemetery mid-morning on Sunday, Aug. 5, to pay respects to my father, Wilbur Schneider. As we approached his cemetery plot, we noticed his plant stand was gone, and the flower pot was placed on the ground.

We have had several instances this year at his burial site where the grave site one plot to the south of his appeared to be borrowing his plant stand. We would kindly return it to my father’s plot not thinking anyone would ever take it. I wish whoever took it would return it to where it belongs.
