Church plans fundraiser

Hayward Lutheran Church Rev. Josh Enderson stands with volunteers planning a Food for Backpacks fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 23. Hayward is partnering with other churches to provide food for District 241 students on weekends. A baked potato bar, coleslaw, Roosevelt beans, desserts and drinks will be served. A freewill donation will be taken. Volunteers include Bob and Bonnie Felt, Bev Noland and Barb and Paul Miller. - Provided
