A week ago, under beautiful blue skies, the second annual Golfing for the Gospel was held at Wedgewood Cove. This is a faith-based event to bring together our community for a fun day for both golfers and families. We sponsor a golf tournament and also an area set up for family fun time. On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to thank the many businesses and people who made this event possible. A special thank you to Chris Utz for his heartfelt testimony. And last, but certainly not least, our most sincere thank you to Gerry and Jerry Vogt and the entire Wedgewood Cove staff for providing the facilities for this event. All funds raised for this event are distributed equally to Youth For Christ, Salvation Army and The Arc of Freeborn County. The committee is planning on having this event again next fall, and we look forward to families attending this event for fun, fellowship and food.
