The Retired Educators of Albert Lea will meet for lunch at noon Thursday at the Albert Lea American Legion, according to a press release. 

Angela Christel from the state services for the blind will speak on issues related to blindness and failing eyesight.

If you have not been contacted by Monday and would like to attend, call Ann Berry 507-373-6004 to make a reservation. If you find you must cancel your reservation or decide you can come, please call Berry before 8:30 a.m. Thursday. 

Newly retired educators are especially encouraged to attend to become acquainted with the organization.

ALAREAM is the local organization of retired educators, which is part of the state group REAM. Both provide opportunities to socialize and to keep abreast of legislative issues affecting health and pensions.
