Richard “Dick” Holmsten, 88, of St. Paul passed away surrounded by family Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018.

Dick and his wife, Florence, celebrated 68 fun-loving years of marriage until her death Aug. 15. Dick was a businessman who owned Holmsten Ice Rinks & Rinkmaster.

Dick is survived by his children Al (Susan), Bob (Carolyn), Chuck (Cindy) and Nancy (Steve) Hedberg; 10 grandchildren; six great-granddaughters; and two sisters.

Dick is preceded in death by Florence and his parents.

A memorial service for Richard will take place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Centennial United Methodist Church, 1524 County Road C2 W. in St. Paul. Visitation will precede the service at 3:30 p.m. A meal gathering will follow the service.

Memorials are preferred to Centennial United Methodist Church, St. Anthony Park Home or Kiwanis Club International.
