Congratulations are in order for the Albert Lea High School football team, who came away with a great win Wednesday against Belle Plaine.

It seemed only fitting that the team ended the regular season — and last regular season game before Hammer Field Complex is updated — with such a strong success and ending the game 47-6.

We hope the success continues on Tuesday when they host a section game against the 0-8 Wingers of Red Wing.

The players and coaches have worked diligently all season and have put in many hours of hard work. We were glad to see them come away with a win.

Now, let’s get out there and show them our community is rooting for them.
