Letter: Group trying to keep quality hometown care

I feel the need to respond to a previous letter to the editor. I retired five years ago after spending 50-plus years as a registered nurse there. I found it very rewarding to serve my community.
There is no way our Save Our Healthcare group is doing “damage to Albert Lea” or “sticking it to Mayo.” We are only attempting to keep quality health care in our community.
We have a very dedicated and hardworking staff working at the hospital, and I would hope and pray we can retain these great individuals.
We should all attempt to keep informed and support our community.
I felt personally offended when it was stated that we are doing “harm to Albert Lea.” This is our town, and we are attempting to keep quality hometown care for our area.
I am very disappointed with Mayo administration depriving our community of a full-service hospital.
