We need George Marin to stand up for us. We need common sense at City Hall. Albert Lea is facing a critical situation with our hospital and clinics. Mayo is taking them away from Albert Lea. The medical center is Albert Lea’s biggest employer. Two examples of this problem are the intensive care unit and the maternity ward.

The intensive care unit was moved to Austin. If you have a heart attack, you now go to Austin. Now imagine this happening during a winter storm.

In 2019 or 2020, Mayo is moving the maternity ward to Austin. Think of what that could be like! Among other things, it will be the end of births in Freeborn County. Again, imagine this happening during a winter storm.

Our present mayor is not standing up and fighting this. Again, the medical center is Albert Lea’s biggest employer.

George Marin is fighting for our services. George Marin is working with Save Our Healthcare to bring services back to Albert Lea. We need George Marin to stand up for us as mayor of Albert Lea. We need common sense at city hall.
