Youth For Christ will host Scoops for Scholarships — which will feature soups from local businesses and Cold Stone Creamery ice cream — from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

Proceeds from the event will go directly into the scholarship account for youth to go on trips, camping and other events.

Food for the event will be donated by Applebee’s, Cold Stone Creamery, Diana’s Diner, Erberts & Gerbert’s, Green Mill, Hy-Vee, Iron Skillet, Nancy’s Cafe, Perkins, Elbow Room, The Interchange, Wedgewood Cove, Wendy’s and 112 on Broadway.

Cost of the meal will be $7 for adults and $3 for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
