To the work of South Central Minnesota Youth for Christ.
Thank you to South Central Minnesota Youth for Christ for all the work the organization does to help youth in the area.
In addition to providing a place for youth to hang out after school, the organization provides sandwiches and snacks, opportunities for youth to attend camp, ways to increase their spirituality and other programming.
The organization is clearly making a difference, as evidenced by the youth who spoke Thursday at the annual Youth for Christ fundraising banquet.
We look forward to seeing more of the successes in the future.
To Mortarr’s purchase of a portion of the Freeborn National Bank building.
Congratulations to high-tech firm Mortarr, who closed on the main level, mezzanine, basement and second floor of the Freeborn National Bank building on Thursday at the corner of Broadway and William Street.
Mortarr, an online inspiration gallery and networking platform developed for the commercial construction and design industry, started in 2017 and plans to have 34 employees by the time it moves into the renovated space in the bank building, according to one of the co-founders in a previous interview.
We are excited to see the bank building finally be put to use after being owned by the city for 20 years, and we look forward to seeing all the work done in the building. We wish Mortarr the best of luck going into the future.
To all those who worked at the polls this week.
Thanks to all of the election judges and others who helped keep the polls running smoothly throughout Freeborn County this year.
This is a large task, and we appreciate you setting your day aside to provide this meaningful service. Being an election judge makes for an early morning and late night, and many have even worked as election judges for multiple years. Thanks for your dedication.
We’re glad the election is over, though we’re sure the 2020 election will creep up on us before we know it.
