Letter: Audience blessed to attend annual Cantori concert

The Albert Lea Cantori gave the community a glorious gift on Sunday afternoon with their “Peace on Earth” concert at United Methodist Church. Their early Singing in the Season concert every year starts out Advent and Christmas for all of us who are lucky and blessed to attend it.
Thank you to Eileen Nelson Ness for directing and preparing the concert, to Gail Thurnau for accompanying on organ, piano and even a drum. Thank you to all the singers in the choir who sang so beautifully, like angels. Thank you to the instrumentalists on flut, oboe, clarinet, French horn and percussion for all you added so beautifully. This concert deserves four stars!
You all looked so sophisticated and elegant in your black sparkly outfits and tuxedos for the first half. The audience was thrilled and surprised when you came back for the second part in your pajamas, aprons, robes, hats, Christmas sweaters and all the fun. Everybody present just loved you. Never before have their been that many people in the front of the Methodist Church singing and dancing.
I’d like to close this letter in t he words of Gomer Pyle, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Also, Tiny Tim’s words, “God bless us, everyone.” Your concert was a happiness pill!
