Letter: Fall book sale was a success

Published 8:01 pm Thursday, November 15, 2018

Thank you to everybody who made the Friends of the Library fall book sale a success. We raised $1,730 from sales of books and memberships. The proceeds, together with donations and Fountain Lake Bookstore sales, fund extra programs and equipment at the Albert Lea Public Library.

Special thanks to Janelle VanEngelenburg and her hard working Sentence-To-Serve crew, Michelle Gurung, the city of Albert Lea and many Friends volunteers for their efforts on behalf of this event. We also appreciate continuing generous donations of books in good or like new condition from area residents.

You can visit the Fountain Lake Bookstore in the basement of City Hall, which is staffed by volunteers Monday through Thursday year-round. Outside of bookstore hours, books can be purchased using the gray payment box near the desk. A blue bin at the bottom of the stairway is available for book donation drop-offs.
