Letter: Thank a veteran

Published 8:57 pm Wednesday, November 7, 2018

As we approach Veterans Day on Sunday, I wanted to take a moment to encourage everyone to thank every vet you see. I so like that many of them wear their hat to signify what branch of service they were in or conflict they were involved in. I know it makes their day when someone takes the time to stop and thank them for their service. I have even gotten some great stories at times. My grandson Evan does it whenever he can and feels so good about it. I’m very proud of him for it. So please take a minute of your time to thank a vet. It doesn’t have to be just on Veterans Day; it can be any time of the year. They will feel really good about it and, believe me, so will you. Remember that all the freedoms we enjoy are because of their sacrifice. Thank you all, and happy Veterans Day!
